Hello and Welcome to York Township Elementary!

I have been the Principal at York Township Elementary School since 2016, and am proud to work with the professional staff who serve our community and families who attend our school. I believe strongly in educating the whole child - academically, emotionally, and socially - especially in the formative years of elementary education.

Before arriving at York Township, I taught Mathematics, Social Studies, and English Language Arts at Linglestown and Central Dauphin Middle Schools in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In 2013, I became an Assistant Principal for the Susquenita School District in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, working at both the Elementary and Middle School levels. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in K-6 Elementary Education at Penn State University before earning my Master’s Degree in Educational Instructional Media and Technology from Wilkes University and my Pennsylvania School Administration Certification from Cabrini College. Personally, I am married, have two children, two cats, and a dog. Our family enjoys being outdoors, sports and exercise, reading, playing games, and all things Disney.

Her free time is spent with her husband, Ben, who is the Dean of Students at DAIS, their five children, Korrine, Aaron, Bryna, Sydney, and Avery, and their granddaughter Genevieve. Also, they are anxiously awaiting the arrival of two more grandchildren this school year.

Dr. Terroso enjoys officiating field hockey, watching her daughter play field hockey at Yale University, watching her son play volleyball at St. John Fisher College, and cheering on her favorite teams the Philadelphia Eagles and the Duke Blue Devils. She also enjoys working out, visiting new places, and spending time with family and friends.
