Book Fair
The Book Fair provides an opportunity for students, parents, and teachers to purchase new books.  Volunteers assist students purchasing the books and other items.  Shifts are available before school, during, and after school (in end of Sept./early Oct. and April). Look for a sign –up genius.

 Box Tops

This program, sponsored by General Mills, allows YT families and friends to earn cash for the school by saving Box Tops from General Mills products.  Volunteers trim, count, and bundle Box Tops to prepare for submission to General Mills.  This can be done at home.

Fall Fundraiser

This is our Fun Run fundraiser that supports some of the PTO activities, events, and more for our children.  Volunteers are needed to help with the children during the school day. Look for a sign-up genius.

Family Movie Night

In November, January and March families may come to YT in the evening for a family movie. Volunteers will be needed to help send out fliers to get an approximate number of attendees, set-up AV equipment, and organize and sell concessions.

Fun Day

A school day filled with fun for the students.  Activities typically include bounce houses, dancing, a dj, and field activities. Volunteers are need to contact and secure bounce house vendors, dj, and get volunteers to help with activities.



This committee is in charge of providing and serving food 1 evening during the fall and spring conferences. Volunteers help prepare and/or get donations of food, set-up, serve, and clean-up the Faculty Dinner. Volunteers also prepare a special treat, whether that is a snack, breakfast, surprise in school mailbox… during Teacher Appreciation Week in May. Lastly, in May, volunteers prepare and/or get donations, set-up, serve, and clean-up a breakfast in the LGI for the bus and van drivers to say thank you for their services.


May Day

May Day is a celebration of spring’s arrival and the nearing of the end of the school year.  Games, crafts, activities, bounce houses, teacher prize drawing, food vendors, and more are all at May Day!  Volunteers help plan, set-up, staff games, crafts, activities, and clean-up.


Memory Book

Volunteers take pictures throughout the school year to document the school year in photographs and assist in assembling the school yearbook.


Winter Festival

This is a time for families to get into the holiday spirit with a delicious pancake breakfast.  Volunteers are needed to prepare, serve, and clean-up breakfast. Children have the opportunity to shop secretly for their families. Volunteers are needed to supervise the shopping and to supervise the Santa photo opportunity (in December).


Roller Skating Party

An evening of rollerskating at Roll-R-Way. Volunteers are needed to hand out tickets at the door and sales at the door the night of the event.


Spirit Wear

Select spirit wear is available throughout the year.  Volunteers are needed to help sell clothing at school events.


Spring Fundraiser

This is our Dance-a-Thon fundraiser that supports some of the PTO activities, events, and more for our children.  Volunteers are needed to help with the children during the school day. Look for a sign-up genius.




Backpack Program

Mrs. Lubaszewski, our guidance counselor, has a program where certain students receive a backpack with various foods in it to help supplement their nutrional needs while not in school. Volunteers are needed to help fill the backpacks Friday mornings. It takes approximately 45 minutes to fill the backpacks. Look for a sign up genius.


Caring and Sharing

A “themed” drive, such as a food drive, that is organized by Mrs. Lubaszewski our guidance counselor. It is conducted in December to provide necessities to YT families in need.  Volunteers sort the items and prepare individual gift boxes.
