Welcome to Third Grade!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to my third grade classroom! Third grade is such an exciting year filled with many new concepts and opportunities!
In addition to meeting new friends this year and being the "oldest" students in our school, third grade is filled with many new experiences! In math we will learn how to multiply and divide! In writing, we will add on to what we have already learned in previous grades by extending our stories with events, details, and style. Third graders also learn how to write in cursive! If you enjoy science and love doing experiments, third grade is the place to be! This year, you will have the opportunity to participate in an after school program called CLAW Club. Third graders also are able to play string instruments. And, third graders can join the Envirothon Club! We will have an interesting field trip to The Pennsylvania State Museum and the State Capitol in the spring! So, get ready for a year of learning and a year of fun! I am excited to experience this year with you!
